Too bad we don't have a soundtrack to go with this...

Today we were talking about names, because there was a groundhog who lives just outside our apartment in the back yard that he decided to call James. We asked Xander what names would be nice for a sister, should he have one, since I had just heard the name Emiline or Angeline on TV, and thought about how one of those would make an interesting name, so we opened the floor for ideas. He hemmed and hawed for a bit, and then told us quite clearly that he wants a sister named Dora. This came completely out of the blue, making it even cuter than it might have been if it was prompted. Then when we asked if he'd like a brother, he said, "No, I want a sister named Dora."

Well, there you have it. Oh, another incredibly cute and spontaneous moment happened during dinner, when we were finishing up, and Xander started singing, "Q-U, they're often a pair, make 'kwa' sounds together, like quick, queen and quill...(yes, he actually used all those words)" I don't know how he remembers songs like that. It's been at least several weeks since we watched the video, and even then, it's been a rarity lately. It's not like we sing it to him, either.

Speaking of songs, he's learning the Victors, so by the time next weekend rolls around, he should be able to sing it (with fist pumps) when we watch the game.
