Colic? Oh please, please no...

Xander has been feeling yucky today, and although he doesn't come close to the "rule of threes" (3 hours of crying, 3 days in a row, lasting 3 weeks), as this is the first day he's been truly upset and almost inconsolable, we always seem to fear the worst. He slept for the better part of the day today, and wanted to snuggle for most of the time. There are all sorts of things that could be going on. It is terribly dry in our apartment, and rather warm, compared to the frigid air outside. Even in a T-shirt, I've been sweating, and we've had him in a onesie & T-shirt, so perhaps he's just hot. Or maybe he's had painful gas. Or maybe he's having a growth spurt. Or maybe...

Well, he's fussy, he's a baby, and we've been able to quell his crying quickly by holding him and moving around. Sleepy Xander:

...And sleepy Daddy:

Rules of 3's? Kaitlyn went straight to the "Rules of 6's". You would definitely know if it's colic. We did.

OH! and i was reading some of your earlier posts, i just wanted let you know if you have any questions about Xander's behavior, don't hesistate to email me and ask - my mom actually is an RN who loves babies and specializes in giving new parents just that kind of information through her work with a non-profit :) so, if you have any specific worries/questions, you know who to ask for free information! :)
